Description

Career Education Overview

The workshop will begin with an overview of pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs and some of the different careers in construction and industrial fabrication.  Attendees will also learn about the pros and cons of careers in these industries. The session will end with time for questions. Participants will leave with a packet of information with resources to guide them in pursuing these high-skill, living wage careers.

Oregon Tradeswomen's Trades and Apprenticeship Career Class (TACC)

Attendees interested in our TACC program are not required to attend this session. It is an opportunity to explore careers in the trades and may assist in preparing for the class. We are in the process of shifting the way we offer Career Education about the construction industry, training opportunities for women, as well as specific information about Oregon Tradeswomen’s state-certified pre-apprenticeship training program.

This change accompanies an overall examination of our Pathways to Success program to explore our capacity to not only serve more women in our training, but to also improve outcomes for women interested in the skilled trades and women seeking our services. Our next pre-apprenticeship training class will be offered in July 2018
